‘Locations’ is the module where you create all your physical locations that are relevant for your product flows from suppliers and sub-suppliers, through warehouses and further to your sales channels.

This is the module where you specify all known routes between suppliers, warehouses, and end locations.
You should only create the routes where both the departing location and the arrival location are known (and created as locations in the Locations module).  This information will automatically be connected with your product screenings, enabling you to only input these transport routes once.
You will also add the transportation methods of the goods in this module

In ‘Routes’ you can add as many transport legs to a route as necessary.

The transport legs are defined by type, method of transport and distance.

When creating routes, we recommend you to use www.ecotransit.org for information about distances and combination of transport methods.

Deliveries that are made directly from supplier to customer can be inputtet in the module called ‘Country shares’ in the column called ‘Direct’.

In the module called ‘Country shares’, you apply the right shares to the combination of locations and routes which you have defined already.
This is the final step to enable our calculations to present the right impact from logistics, use phase and disposal.
Having your country shares input, enables absolute configuration of all your product screenings to match your “world”.

You can get the data from your Finance department, Business development department, BI reporting responsible, IT etc.

COGS stands for Cost Of Goods Sold. This is the turnover but based on your costs.

Here is an example.

You sell a chair for 1,000€.
It costs the company 200€ to buy from a supplier
In total, you have sold 10 chairs.

Your turnover is 10,000€

Your COGS is 2,000€

You choose which currency the COGS should be presented in for your own internal work. We recommend that you in “Name” write the currency so your colleagues are aware of it too.
